Everything you write in N of 1 stays on your device. The app has no account and no cloud. From version 2.0 the app sends a handful of anonymous, aggregated usage events (described below) — never your content, never your identity.
Your experiments, check-ins, field notes and results are stored locally on your iPhone. We cannot read them. If you delete the app, the data is deleted with it.
To understand whether the app works as a product — how many people complete an experiment, for example — the app sends a small number of anonymous usage events (such as "an experiment was started" or "a result was viewed"). These events contain no personal data, no content you write, and no identifiers linked to you: the only identifier is a random ID created on your device, hashed before sending, and never connected to your name, email or Apple Account. Processing happens via TelemetryDeck, an EU-based, privacy-first analytics service that only stores aggregated statistics. You can read their policy at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We receive no payment details. Apple's handling of that data is described in Apple's own privacy policy.
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Nothing leaves it.
The export feature creates Markdown/CSV files that you choose where to share. Sharing is entirely under your control via the iOS share sheet.
This website sets no cookies — none. That's why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
We do measure traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless and uses no client-side identifiers or fingerprinting: it counts page views, referrers and country-level location in aggregate. It cannot recognise you across visits and is never combined with anything you do in the app.
